What is in the scene
Earth is shown as a large round globe that takes up most of the composition. Broad continent shapes and large ocean areas are outlined across the surface. Two simple cloud bands sweep over the planet, adding a visible layer above the land and water. In the upper-right part of the scene, the Moon appears nearby as a smaller round body. The background is plain, so the main visual focus stays on Earth's surface patterns, the two cloud bands, and the Moon.
Earth facts
Earth is the third planet from the Sun and the only world currently known to support life. About 71 percent of its surface is covered by oceans, while the rest is made up of continents and islands. Earth has a nitrogen- and oxygen-rich atmosphere that helps regulate temperature and supports weather. The planet has one natural satellite, the Moon, which influences ocean tides through gravity. Earth rotates once in about 24 hours and travels around the Sun once in about 365 days.
