What is in the scene
The two owls sit side by side and look toward each other, making their close family pose the center of the picture. Several leaves grow from the branch below them. Two hearts, three stars, and a crescent moon float around the birds on a plain white background. Both owls are fully visible, with large round eyes and layered feather details, and there is no text or numbering. The simple night-themed decorations give the Mother's Day card a calm, cozy atmosphere.
Owl facts
Owls are birds of prey with forward-facing eyes and strong feet equipped with talons. Many owl species are active mainly at night, although some are active during the day or around dawn and dusk. Their facial discs help direct sound toward the ears, which supports precise hearing. Owl feathers have special structures that help reduce noise during flight. Young owls are commonly called owlets. Depending on the species, parents protect and feed the young until they are able to become more independent.
Color ideas
- Use warm brown, tan, cream, gray, or rust tones for the mother owl's feathers.
- Give the owlet a softer or lighter version of the adult's colors.
- Make the branch natural brown and the leaves several shades of green.
- Color the crescent moon pale yellow or gold and the stars yellow, blue, or purple.
- Use red, pink, or two contrasting colors for the hearts.
