An Angled View of Pentaceratops

This scene presents a large Pentaceratops standing at a slight angle to highlight its anatomy. The dinosaur features an exceptionally tall neck shield, two elongated brow horns, a shorter nose horn, and a compact beak.

The Five-Horned Giant Skull

The name Pentaceratops translates to "five-horned face," referring to its nose horn, two eye horns, and two pointed cheek bones that resembled additional horns. This species possessed one of the largest head frills relative to body size of any known animal. The broad shield was lightweight due to large open fenestrae in the skull structure covered by tough skin tissue.
