What is shown in this floral card design

Several open daisies form the main line of the arrangement, while unopened buds and pointed leaves fill the spaces between the flowers. The center and upper-left part of the page remain mostly empty white space. There is no text, border, or background scenery, so the daisy chain creates a light decorative corner around the open area.

Facts about daisies

The common daisy, Bellis perennis, belongs to the aster family. What looks like one flower is actually a flower head made from many tiny florets: yellow disk florets in the center and white or pink-tinged ray florets around the edge. Common daisies usually grow low to the ground and can flower over a long season in mild conditions. Their leaves form a basal rosette close to the soil. Other plants called daisies may belong to different genera, but the familiar round center and radiating petals are common features in daisy-like flowers.

Color ideas for the picture

  • White petals with sunny yellow centers for a classic daisy look
  • Pale pink or lavender at the tips of selected petals
  • Fresh green for pointed leaves and stems
  • Lighter green for unopened buds
  • Soft cream accents to keep the chain delicate
