What is shown in the scene
The front panel of the card is mostly open and uncluttered, leaving a broad blank area above the floral decoration. Three daffodil flowers form a cluster along the bottom, surrounded by several broad leaves and visible stems. The rear flap of the folded card can be seen behind the front panel, which makes the shape clearly read as a standing greeting card rather than a flat sheet. There is no writing anywhere on the card, so the flowers are the only decorative theme.
Daffodil facts
Daffodils belong to the genus Narcissus and are well known as spring-flowering bulb plants. Many familiar varieties have six petal-like outer segments surrounding a central cup or trumpet. Yellow is strongly associated with daffodils, although cultivated forms can also include white, cream, orange and mixed combinations. The flowers grow on upright stems above narrow leaves that emerge from the bulb. Their clear flower shape makes daffodils easy to recognize even in a simple outline drawing.
