What is shown in this floral card design
The central crocus stands tallest while two slightly lower flowers sit to the left and right. Narrow leaves grow around all three blooms and form a compact base near the bottom edge. The rest of the page is plain white with no text or scenery, giving the flowers a simple, balanced presentation. The three blooms are spaced clearly enough to compare their heights and shapes.
Facts about crocuses
Crocuses belong to the genus Crocus and grow from underground storage organs called corms. Many familiar garden crocuses bloom very early in spring, although some species flower in fall. Their flowers are cup-shaped and can be purple, violet, white, yellow, striped, or multicolored. Crocus leaves are narrow and grass-like, and many species show a pale stripe running along the center of each leaf. Because they bloom close to the ground, the flowers often appear before surrounding garden plants have grown tall.
Color ideas for the picture
- Violet or deep purple for the central flower
- Yellow, white, or pale lavender for the two side flowers
- Fresh green for the narrow leaves and grass patch
- A lighter green for young leaf tips
- Gentle contrasting shades inside the flower centers
