What is shown in the scene
The picture shows a friendly cartoon emu standing on the left side of the page and facing a large uppercase E. Its long beak reaches toward the top set square, while three broad triangular set squares are grouped beside the letter, with two of them stacked lower down. The shapes are simple and easy to recognize: the emu has a long neck, rounded body, sturdy legs, and a clear eye and beak, while the set squares have open triangular centers. The single uppercase E is large, upright, and clearly separated from the bird and the geometry tools. The background is plain white, so the animal, the letter, and the three set squares remain the main elements.
Emu facts
Emus are large flightless birds native to Australia. Their long, powerful legs help them move quickly across open ground, and each foot has three forward-facing toes. Emus have small wings compared with their body size, so they cannot fly. Their shaggy feathers are usually brownish and help break up the outline of the bird in dry grass and scrub. In the breeding season, the male emu incubates the eggs and later looks after the chicks.
Color ideas
- Emu feathers: warm brown, tan, dark brown, or soft gray-brown.
- Beak and legs: charcoal, gray, or muted brown.
- Set squares: three different bright colors such as yellow, blue, and orange.
- Uppercase E: one strong contrasting color such as red, green, or purple.
- Small details: darker shades for the eye, claws, and feather accents.
