What is in the scene?
The helicopter fills the foreground and sits close to the glass-fronted music building. To the right, a large drum is shown with a pair of drumsticks, and a cymbal stand is placed nearby. Under a small canopy, three guitars are displayed together, creating a second clear group of musical instruments. Behind the display area, a large tree, several shrubs, and planters soften the straight lines of the building. The helicopter stays visually dominant, while the drum, cymbal, guitars, plants, and windows make the music center easy to recognize without any written signs. The mix of round drum shapes, long guitar bodies, thin stands, rotor blades, leaves, and planters gives the scene plenty of varied outlines.
Music instrument facts
A drum produces sound when its stretched membrane vibrates after being struck with a hand or stick. Cymbals are metal percussion instruments that vibrate when struck, creating a bright ringing sound. A guitar makes sound when its strings vibrate; those vibrations are transferred through the instrument and can be amplified acoustically or electronically depending on the guitar. Drumsticks come in different sizes and shapes for different playing styles, and guitars can have different body forms and numbers of strings. Music centers often provide spaces for lessons, rehearsals, performances, or instrument practice, although the exact activities vary from place to place.
