What is in the scene?
The helicopter is the largest object and sits close to the adventure course. Two sturdy trees hold wooden platforms above the ground, and the platforms are connected by a rope bridge made from hanging planks. A ladder reaches the platform on the right, showing one way to climb up to the course. Rocks, bushes, and leafy plants sit near the helicopter and around the bases of the trees. The entire setup is compact, so the aircraft and the climbing elements belong to one clear scene. The straight lines of the platforms and ladder contrast with the curved helicopter body, spinning rotor shapes, ropes, leaves, and rocks.
Helicopter facts
Helicopters create lift with a rotating main rotor instead of fixed wings. Because the rotor can generate lift while the aircraft is moving slowly or not moving forward at all, a helicopter can hover in one place. Pilots can also make vertical takeoffs and landings, which is useful when open space is limited. On many designs, a tail rotor helps control yaw, meaning the direction the nose points. Helicopters can be equipped for very different jobs, including rescue, transport, inspection, firefighting support, news gathering, and work in mountainous or remote areas. Their ability to approach small landing zones is one of their most useful features.
Color ideas
- Bright orange, red, blue, or yellow for the helicopter body
- Dark gray or black for the rotor blades, skids, and mechanical parts
- Natural brown shades for tree trunks, platforms, bridge planks, and ladder
- Tan, gray, or reddish brown for the rocks
- Several greens for bushes and leafy plants
- A contrasting accent color on small helicopter details to separate them from the natural background
