What is in the scene
The player is smiling and striking the ball toward a simple goal. Three tall cones form a practice wall between the kicker and the goalkeeper. Inside the goal, the goalkeeper stands ready with arms open and knees bent, watching the shot. A few trees, bushes, clouds, and small grass tufts complete the training setting while staying clear of the main action. The arrangement makes the purpose of the drill easy to understand: the kicker must lift the ball over an obstacle and still direct it toward the goal.
Free kick facts
A free kick restarts play after certain fouls and rule violations in football. During training, cones are often used to imitate a defensive wall because they give the kicker a clear obstacle without needing several other players. To send the ball over a wall, players adjust the angle of their approach, the part of the foot that contacts the ball, and the point where they strike it. Goalkeepers prepare by watching the ball, staying balanced, and reacting quickly once the shot is taken. Repeating the same setup helps players practice both accuracy and consistency.
Color ideas
- Give the kicker a bright jersey with shorts in a contrasting color.
- Use orange, yellow, or red for the three training cones.
- Choose a different uniform color for the goalkeeper so the two players are easy to distinguish.
- Use green shades for the trees, bushes, and grass details.
- Keep the goal light and simple, and add soft blue around the clouds if you want a sky color.
