What is in the scene
The weather station is set up outdoors on a sturdy tripod. At the top is a wind vane, while rotating wind cups sit nearby to measure wind movement. A rain gauge is attached to the setup, and a small louvered instrument shelter is positioned as part of the station. Low bushes appear in the background, with grass covering the open area around the equipment. The composition is simple and spacious, so the different weather instruments can be seen clearly without extra objects crowding the scene.
Weather station facts
Weather stations collect information about conditions such as wind, rainfall, temperature, humidity, and air pressure. A wind vane shows the direction from which the wind is coming. Cup anemometers use rotating cups to help measure wind speed. A rain gauge collects precipitation so the amount of rainfall can be measured. Louvered instrument shelters protect sensitive measuring equipment from direct sunlight and precipitation while allowing air to circulate around the sensors.
Color ideas
- Silver-gray, white, or muted green for the tripod and instrument supports
- Red, blue, or dark gray accents for the wind vane and rotating cups
- Clear blue, gray, or metallic tones for the rain gauge
- White or pale gray for the louvered instrument shelter
- Natural green and brown tones for grass and low bushes
